If I can't come up with a serious blog entry, it's time to do something silly!

Saturday Afternoon at the Westerns

Hubby can sit in his recliner all day long on Saturdays, watching his Westerns. He watches them all but his favorite is Gunsmoke starring James Arness as U.S. Marshall Matt Dillon.

I've watched my share of them over the years, as well.

When I noticed this morning that AMC was going to 'premier' reruns of Rawhide this afternoon, I started trying to remember all the other Westerns that we've watched.

I've been trying to come up with an idea for a new thread. Sadly, my allergies have got my brain rather fuzzy and unimaginative. It's simply too hard to think right now.

I'm going to take the easy way out and do an olio.

Though the first definition sounds yummy, I'm sticking with 2a, for the time being. Odds and ends and things that have piqued my interest lately.

Women's History Month

In case you didn't know, March is Women's History Month

Last Sunday, I watched the documentary, "Makers," on PBS. It was quite the trip down memory lane: Betty Friedan, Gloria Steinem, NOW, feminism, ERA, Roe vs Wade, MS magazine.

After watching the film, I started thinking about how much has changed for women since then and how far we still have to go.

You do see more women in politics, sports and as business owners and CEOs...

After reading about the Spam Museum in Shore's WP entry the other day, I got to thinking about other offbeat and odd museums I've read about or seen on TV.

There's the prickly Barbed Wire Museum.

How about the electrifying SPARK Museum of Electrical Invention?

There's the morbidly fascinating Mutter Museum.

You can yearn for a hot dog at the National Mustard Museum.

You can cringe at the Museum of Bad Art (MOBA)...
