Hey, I drank the Koo-laid too.. That this would be one of the most active season.. I wasnt sure it would be the Most ever but very elevated! There is a ton of time left before we even reach the pinnacle of the season.
But as hot as the atlantic is... I would not say the season is going to be a bust or even short of what the experts called for... I really believe that we will witness what the second half of the great 2005 season. (dont take me out of context here) I repeat second half (that we have not reached yet)... I believe that this season will be an extended season and we will see many storms form in later months possibly after the official season is over... That heat has to go somewhere?? If Im wrong, then watch out for next season! Because there is historical records that show (wish I could put my finger on the chart) years that drop sharply from el nino to la nina in a few months, la nina will continue for the following season..

Oh and by the way... Things are really hopping out there!!

So Im sitting here in Jonestown happily awaiting for another helping of the Summer Sugar..

This has been my best month since my interest in photographing lightning. It has been such a rush. I am not currently posting my best images of lightning. I am going to open my own web site. This will give you the ability to purchase my full images. Tell me what you think of my images that you see here. Thanks to all of you, my friends, family and most of all GOD.

Just another day of hurricane chasing! Although not much chasing involved when you live in Central Florida during the last few years. According to the Weather Channel, CNN and a few others, we are all just a bunch of sitting ducks here in the US. It is hard for the average viewer to refute the news reports with Katrina in the barrels of the tabloids guns. But even after 2004 hurricane season in Florida..... we are still here!So to all of you embelishing report...

We are now getting lite rains, lite winds and the typical over-cast days. Not quite as bad as Katrina, but we didnt get much here in Winter Garden from her. Most of the weather forecasts the storm to pass close to Winter Garden from Saturday to Weds. So I think we will be dealing with the rain for quite a while.

I have to stop and reflect back on what the good Dr.Jeff Masters said in an earlier blog. NOT Quoted but to sum up... The officials in New Orleans did not call for an evacuation until it was too late to do a complete evac. I believe that the city needed at least a whole 72 hours for evacuation of a city that about 1.5 million reside. Not sure if it would have made a difference or not. But the Evacuation was not called until I believe the 55 hour till landfall. The o...
