High Definition Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) Now Available
In case you haven't already discovered this, we now have TDWR available for all 45 airports where the FAA have it available. You can find it alongside our regular NEXRAD radar at http://www.wunderground.com/radar/map.asp (just look for the yellow crosses!)
You will now be able to view much greater detail within storms and even pick out the detailed structures of tornadoes and other important weather features. Whereas regular radar enables you to view the paths of storms neighborhood by neighborhood, the high definition TDWR provides block-by-block detail. The TDWR data can also be plotted as a layer on our WunderMap.
As you'd expect this is all part of our free service confirming that Weather Underground provides you with the most comprehensive radar without any subscriptions charges!
