In the Eastern Pacific, shower and thunderstorm activity located several hundred miles South of Acapulco, Mexico is showing signs of organization. It does not have a well-defined surface circulation yet. Conditions appear favorable for gradual development of this system over the next couple of days as it remains nearly stationary. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 30%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
